Did he really just say that?

I was sitting in line at a coffee shop and overheard a guy talking to the barista. The barista said that she was sore from an exercise class the day before and he asked where she took the class. After she told him, he responded by saying “man, I need to exercise more but the problem for me is actually driving to the gym.”

After she gave him his sugar-filled drink with whip cream and caramel syrup on top, he walked to his car vigorously slurping the sugary mess and then drove away. Hmmm?…he somehow managed to muster up the energy to drive to a coffee shop but can’t find time to do the same to go exercise. Hmmm?

I see this all the time with my clients. Many of which are friends on Facebook. They talk amongst themselves about what they are going to do during that day or week and one or two will literally say no not going today….too tired but in the same sentence….want to go to Wendy’s or want to go to IHOP??? Crazy!!!

So sad when you can’t get them to see how they are hurting themselves in the long run.
