Another Monday is here, so it is time for a little self assessment: Are you where you want to be in terms of your health and fitness? If so, that is great…keep doing what you are doing! If not, let today be the day to take that first step toward a healthy lifestyle. That means that today is the day you open up a can of Bruce Lee and get things going in the right direction. Bruce Lee was a true master whose accomplishments, teachings and impact on generations of people is timeless because he was focused, methodical and open to the possibility of doing great things with simple, fundamental techniques!
You don’t have to make a big deal about getting in shape, proclaim that it is “go time,” grab a “Biggest Loser” T-shirt and a headband and start doing sprints on a treadmill. Relax my friend, start off slow and consult with a fitness professional to help you craft a simple plan to get you started in the right direction. You don’t have to drop a ton of money on personal training sessions, just do a session or two and have the trainer teach you a basic routine that you can do on your own and then check in with her/him every other month or two for more tips, exercises and information.
Don’t use the “I don’t have the money” excuse because as we all know…“people find the money for the things that top their list of priorities.”
So, if your health isn’t at the top of your list of priorities, I sure hope that the other priorities are worth the risk of your health! You can and will succeed, you just have to first deem it possible and then make it happen. Start off slow and methodically work up to higher levels of conditioning! Did you open up that can of Bruce Lee yet?
