Getting results requires getting busy and if you spend more time contemplating, hoping, wishing or praying for them…they will never come.
Rather than sitting around researching which physical activity approach to take, try taking a brisk walk or jog while doing so and you will at least be building a foundation of conditioning that will support whatever plan of action you decide to take. The process of getting active is not rocket science, you have to start somewhere, so keep things simple, start out slow and then work toward specific goals.
Actively pursue your goals, don’t use the “I need to figure out which form of exercise is best for me” excuse because time will pass you by.
Taking a walk around the neighborhood or jog around a local athletic field doesn’t cost you a dime and doesn’t have to take a long time either. A brisk session as short as 20 minutes, 3 or 4 days per week is a great way to get in the game. If it is cold, wear warm clothes. If it hot, wear cool ones and bring a water bottle. If it is raining, wear the appropriate rain gear and carry on!
If you flip the switch and decide to “act” rather than wait, you will be that much closer to the active lifestyle that you deserve. Waiting leads to more waiting which ultimately gets you nothing.
Use time, seize time, embrace time…don’t be a victim of it. You can do this!
