Physical Activity Revolution?

Take a deep breath and savor this moment people because you are right in the middle of a silent revolution with regard to physical activity, health & fitness.

The days of rigid programs and the so-called “best way to do things” are starting to fall victim to a more expansive and diverse mindset when it comes to getting and staying in great physical condition.

A revolution in the health & fitness industry is never truly a revolution at all because what happens is one trend is constantly replacing another with little to nothing ever really changing. However, while all that goes on, there are numerous subcultures of people who garner great results by participating in countless forms of sports and physical activity.

What does this mean for you? It means that when you see a trend, run the other way! One of the biggest favors you can do for yourself is to participate in forms of physical activity that you enjoy and will do on a consistent basis regardless of what trend is going on. More people are realizing this and are branching out from of force-fed ways of exercising to simply doing whatever the heck they want to do. You can do whatever you want to do as well.

You don’t have to do adventure runs, grab knee-high socks for a CrossFit workout or run marathons in order to enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle. If you want to do those things, go ahead and enjoy but don’t participate just because everyone else is. Create your own personal blueprint for an active lifestyle and let the passion for one or many forms of physical activity serve as your foundation.

It may sound cliché but when you open your mind and realize that much of what you accomplish is determined by perception, personal preference and the simple fact that there really are no boundaries…you will achieve things never before thought possible. Blaze your own trail.
